Yea! We finally have Internet again! I have felt a bit disconnected this past few weeks without access to the cyber world, it's nice to be back! Here is a quick update as to what has been going on with the Terry Family: We packed and cleaned our old house thanks to help from family, and sleepless nights put in by Justin. We dropped off our stuff in Logandale and headed up to Utah for Thanksgiving.
The plan was to spend the holiday in Cedar City with my sister, grandma, aunt and cousins. Monday night we received word that my 17-year-old cousin had taken his life, so we ended up spending Thanksgiving in northern Utah with my Dad's side of the family. It was a strange holiday filled with conflicting emotions. On the one hand, it was wonderful to catch up with family I haven't seen in years and best of all to spend time with my dad who flew in from DC, but it was heartbreaking to see my aunt and uncle cope with such a tragedy.
While we were in SLC we went to temple square for the opening of the lights. Josh loved all the twinkly lights and excitement. It was nice to be there and feel the holiday spirit with family. I also enjoyed watching Josh with my Dad. He took a special liking to him, that didn't require the usual warm-up period he needs around new faces. We were also able to meet up with three of Justin's college roommates who happened to be downtown the same night. Here are a few pictures of Josh with his best bud Dad and his newfound friend Grandpa:
