DITL 8-21-12

Claire wakes at 5:30 after being up for most of the night.  I try to convince her that she can't possibly be ready to start the day but all she wants to do is play peek a boo.  Good thing she's so sweet...

we read stories

Eat breakfast.  Claire loves to feed herself

Check on Josh.  He slept with this huge bear last night after dressing him in Dad's clothes:

We play with the blocks and farm:

Josh wakes up earlier than usual not sure he's ready to greet the day:

We eat breakfast, do some chores, and practice handstands:

 

Josh finds some water balloons.  We have a great time:

Claire falls asleep at the time she usually wakes up.  She sleeps for a total of 15 minutes.  What in the world!?  We get ready for the day:

We get in the car to head to swimming lessons, not sure if we will make it, but I take a chance and we do

We stop at Target on the way home.  It is a terrible idea.  Everyone is exhausted and grumpy.  Claire won't stay in the cart to save her life and Josh is certain his life is over because I won't buy him this helmet and a Captain America shirt:

Everyone falls asleep before we get home.  They both sleep for almost four hours!

I take a short nap too then do some housework, schedule my chores, and create a new chore chart for Josh

Daddy comes home:

After dinner we head to the park which as become something of a nightly ritual:

We come home for bathtime and bedtime. (what these are too many pictures of the same thing?  Sometimes I can't decide)
