Cousins

With the start of school Josh's cousin Alexa started coming to our house for a few hours in the afternoon while her parents are at work. We love having Alexa here! They both have such fun and oft times silly personalities, they can be very entertaining and amusing. Josh gets so excited, almost giddy, when she gets here. He has decided she needs to be showered in kisses, which she is not such a fan of, but endures like a trooper. It is such fun to watch them in this phase of life as they are changing from babies into little children, learning so much and becoming oh so expressive! Not having siblings Josh doesn't get many opportunities to learn about sharing and taking turns. Alexa has given us a chance to work on those skills and they have actually done really well together! Aside from the occasional shove or possessive toy moment, our days are fairly conflict-free. I found myself thinking this afternoon that if you survived the first year, twins might actually be fun.
